Bison for the Color Room

I seriously horked up this week's Color Room palette.  I relied on a printed color output of the palette and went all olive green on my project when there is no green in the palette, grrr....  Even my brown is off!! How I have failed this palette!!

I think I did okay with the sketch though. I do love sketches, especially Lydell's, they are quite unique with their hand drawn charm!

I dug out some October Afternoon clear stamps from the Roadmap collection to create the stamped border. I like this look, and I often create it with SRM stickers.  I'm glad that the stamped images are pretty crisp and clear. That's always one of my worries. The red circles are cut with a new Cricut cartridge Elegant Edges.  I added some Studio Calico stars and buttons for embellishment.
How adorable is that red car from October Afternoon?  Sometimes it's so difficult to part with precious stash, lol. I have convinced myself to let this one go with "well, if I really need another one, I will rip it off this page."  Oh the rationalization!!!

The weekend is upon us and it's National Scrapbook Day tomorrow and then Mother's Day! We have no plans :)  I want to wish you a very happy weekend and Happy Mother's Day to all the moms!! We rule ;)

Et tant pis si tu n'as pas suivi les couleurs du prompt à 100%! Moi je trouve que ton vert olive avec le rouge sont trés trés bien pour le sujet et les photos que tu as choisis!
Bonne fête des mères à toi aussi!

You totally matched up the colors! Love your solid, clean-lined layout. :)

Did the bison stick their heads in your car? We went to an outdoor drive-thru park once and a buffalo stuck his head in my window and slobbered all over my arm. They have long tongues! Gross!

Yup, I'd think about ripping it off the page to reuse, too. ;) Bison are huge! I would've been scared, even in a big vehicle.

Cette page est vraiment magnifique et très raffinée je trouve. Et puis ce que j'aime aussi chez toi c'est que tu n'as pas peur de faire une page sur de gros animaux!

I love your stamped border; getting a crisp impression always worries me too. And I like the color scheme, even if it doesn't "match" The color Room one

So cute! And for the record, you're colors do not seem off at all.
I love they Bison in Yellowstone. Yellowstone is one of our favorite places to visit since we've moved to Idaho. The West yellowstone intrance is only a little over an hour away! Can't wait!
Love that your layout made me so excited about this Summer. Now, if only Spring would start...

Great page JJ and I wouldn't worry, when you print off the palette it can look quite different at times. I actually think one of the colours has hints of green in it and a lot of the girls saw green in it. Remember the time I saw grey when everyone else saw a moss sort of green?? LOL we all do it from time to time.
