This Lackluster Spring

The weather has affected my mood so much lately. We are at the end of April, and a string of cold and rainy days is very morale dampening... I am still waiting for our tulips to grow taller. This year, they will for sure be May flowers!

With May around the corner, the graduation season will be upon us as well.  I made this card for a graduate this year.  The sentiments on the Studio Calico star are SRM stickers.

Today my last project went up on the October Afternoon's blog.  So it would seem my apple picking layouts want to catch up to my strawberry picking ones, lol...

Lastly, here is a layout using the Sweet Peach's anniversary kit.  It's so amazing to see wildlife in the Yellowstone National Park.  He was such a breathtaking specimen!  The little green dots are created using the paint dauber from Jenni Bowlin's acrylic paint bottles.  The pompoms come from some MME trim. I just cut of the fuzzy things to accent the green dots :)

The weekend is a work day away :)  First Born's school has the annual International Festival.  Second Child has her annual dance recital this Sunday and that costume is really quite adorable, lol.  Well, I can't wait for everything!  And oh, who DVR'ed the wedding and will be watching tonight? Moi! lol.  Have a great weekend everyone!

Fabulous work all month @ OA, Jing-Jing! Love the twine frame and the OA paper-doll cutouts are perfect for apple-picking photos! Together we should count how many strawberry and apples pages we have total, 'cause I have several of each also, heehee. :)

What is going on JJ, you keep making fabulous cards!! Am I mistaken that you once told me you didn't "do" cards? Or do I have you confused with someone else! Great LO's as well.

Darling projects, Jing-Jing! You are just so creative! Love how you tell a story through your pics, design, and journaling. I totally feel your pain about the weather. My spring break was cold and rainy. :(

Hi JJ. Hope you had time to sit down and enjoy THE wedding by now! it sure was beautiful. With all the nice things you have planned for the week end that might be hard!
here in Sweden it is a bonfire night and hthe air is heavy with smoke. Not very nice.
Your layouts are on the contrary VERY nice. And your princess is so cute (I know I've said that before...)That second layout is stunning with those photos. Last week end we were driving in the country and all but ran over two deer. So beautiful! Take care and enjoy the rest of your week end!

JJ, I love that card! The star is fabulous with the sentiment repeated on each point and the rosette in the centre. I always forget to use my border punches so thanks for the spark! The layouts are fantastic as always. Hope you're enjoying the weekend and that it's a bit warmer or at least dry!

As always, love your work. I am in love with those JBS paint bottles too! And I agree about spring--my students are all so tired and glum.

Yeah, TOLD you that you totally rock anything OA! he he when it comes to strawberries and apples, there is no such thing as too many when the pages are as adorable as yours! AND even if your cuties are posing, it really doesn't show. They look just like little girls do when doing whatever little girls do. Makes me wonder when some mums have their 5-year-olds pose in tutus on a beach wearing mascara and lipgloss to look cute. I love the photos of your girls digging in the sand, making sand cookies and just larking about as kids do on a beach. Todeloo!
