More Work in Progress, Completed.

I have more projects to share with you using the January WIP kit.  I really adore the combination of the red, black and cream.  I thought DH's red shirt plays very well with these papers and embellishments from the kit.
This second layout is a little info about Franklin Court in Philadelphia. I started scrapbooking to document the photos I take on trips.  In my opinion, travel photos are the most difficult photos to scrap... I mean if I take a picture of a scenery, exactly which part can I trim out?  Yeah...  One thing to "combat" that is to print them into smaller photos, even then, I think they are more challenging to scrap.

However, I'm always happy with layouts like this one.  I went on the trip, I took the pictures to remember, I have journaling, and the design isn't half bad.  This is a huge part of me as a scrapbooker: long before it was a creative hobby or an artistic endeavor, it was about 'what, when, and why the photos...'

I love scrapbooking!

Both layouts are just amazing. The pops of red really stand out. I wanted to say thank you too, as my mini Midnight Rooster kit arrived yesterday. Swoon!

love both layouts - perfect color combo for both sets of photos.

btw - got my snow day today. we got about 6inches. i know, i know. hardly anything. but where i work is up on a hill and it is a mess when it is snowing. and having kids drive up the hill in the snow is kind of scary.

I completely agree with you on so many levels today. I, too, am quite partial to the red/black/cream palette. It's that whole Teresa Collins thing ... bold, graphic ... eye-catching! DH looks very handsome in his red shirt ... and A&N adorable as always in their shiny red 'convertible'. hehehe

It is COMPLETELY about the who, where and why. I've challenged myself to get back to telling the story on my pages and worry less about matching the colors exactly or the cute flower detail I can add to the page. Your travel pics are rich with detail and full of memories ... love this one the most.
