Somebunny's Bunny

That title is a bit sickening, lol... First there's the endless number of strawberry layouts, now, we are moving onto bunny layouts. That's right folks, that's a bunny she's holding. We have a small yard, but thanks to our vegetable gardens, a Mama Bunny has decided to nest in our yard. Every summer, in the same bunny hole, is a nest of baby bunnies... DH tried to plant baby bok choys without a fence, well, apparently Mama Bunny needed nourishment to feed her young ones, sigh...  I guess this is our revenge on the Mama Bunny for eating our vegetables!  Before the bunnies opened their eyes, for a week there, Second Child played with baby bunnies taking them out, walking around with them dangling like this, poking and prodding them. It's quite an activity to behold, lol.  And NO, I did not touch them!  ewwww!!!

Here is a close-up of the title. I quite love fitting a little sticker in the middle of the title. I like that look.  I printed the journaling onto patterned paper, then I adhered it onto thick packaging paper (not quite chipboard thick).  It adds a bit dimension to the journaling and the layout, love it.

As I mentioned in my last post, I entered this layout into Crate's sketch challenge.  It's hard to part with these papers, love the Little Sprout collection :) but it's a good stash reduction.  I even used the colored rubon from Crate for the first time, wow! Yay me! lol.

LOL - what a hilarious story! My kids wouldn't be able to resist those little balls of fur either! The way she's holding it is priceless! Oh, and you know I love me some Crate - good for you for digging deep in that stash!! :)

I'm guessing Mama Bunny disowned her babies after all the human hand holding? LOL! How funny... well not the part about the bunnies eating all your hard work (or your husband's work rather!)

DARLING page... love what you did with that sketch. I started to participate in that challenge... still have a 1/2 finished LO on my table... but I think yesterday was the deadline so I'm a day late & a dollar short.

you totally rocked the sketch challenge!! and those bunnies are so adorable. i have a habit of rescuing every little furry creature that comes in to our yard, or rather the yard we used to have. i guess that's why i have a dog and 2 cats living in my tiny, tiny apartment!!

and btw, i am honored that my flower is all you could think of during a work meeting :) and the base of the flower is actually a wooden wall hanging about 3/8" thick. i think it was made by plaid. i'm pretty sure i have another untouched one in a box somewhere around here. i'll look for it.

OK, bunnies and me have a hate-hate relationship. I actually sicked our pit bull RIP on her nest one year. She didn't catch any, but she had happy dreams until the day she died. And the bunny momma stayed away until Roswell died, when she dug a nest in my daffodils, #$&!
I love your LO. It is adorable. Sorry about the bok choys!

Awww, way too cute! We used to do that as kids to any baby homes we found (much to my mom's dismay)... we ended up raising 2 little bunnies when I got a little older. They're such fab pets. :) Love the layout -- the sticker with the title is so cute! Fun take on the sketch!
