Scrapping with Jenny Using WIP

I'm a loner when it comes to scrapbooking. There are many reasons for this, but when I boil things down, there are two: #1 lack of practice; #2 the yapper within me.  Just ask Jenny!  lol.

We got together on Saturday and scrapped at the Scrapbook Shop!  While we did chat plenty, I think we both accomplished plenty as well.  I watched Jenny put together the cover of a Christmas mini together. It is so beautiful!  Just like the layout she posted here, it is THAT much more amazing in real life, really, truly, utterly.

In between the chit-chats, I worked on my August WIP kit.  While I have a Cricut machine and the cartridge that contains the cut "Enjoy Life", I love the fact that Trish includes these cuts in her kit so they are ready to be used!  I added the stamped swirls, journaling and machine stitching after I got home.

I had been accused of dressing the kids for the occasion.  GUILTY as charged!!  Seriously, there's no need to make scrapping more difficult!! Why complicate things with a purple outfit for example, they can always wear that for grapes picking! LOL.

You are to darn funny! I would fit right in with you, as I am a yapper. Lucky if I get one layout done at a crop. For me its like girls day out/social hour. Love your picture and who can blame you for dressing them accordingly. I'm the one with all of those pictures with the outlandish colors in them. Back when my kids were little who ever would have thought I would use their pictures in a scrapbook album. If I could do it again, yes I would plan accordingly when it came to their outfits.

Oh, that is so cute!!! I can't believe you actually preplanned their outfits! I have never done that (maybe because I have 2 boys who couldn't care less about their looks!)

You & Jenny are TOO cute! I just hopped over to her blog & saw her DARLING page, too! Looks like you had a FUN day! I prefer to scrap alone, too.

And, as for YOUR LO... love, love, love it! That little colorful banner is SOOOO CUTE and I LOVE that big, bold title! Awesome!

Did you start packing yet? :-)

Of course you should dress the girls to be camera & scrapbook page ready ! that makes for an easier scrappy life ! lol ! sure sounds like a fruitful crop ! I think being selective with who your crop with is a good way to go! if I may say so ! lol

Omgoodness! You are a riot! Purples outfits for shame!!! I can't scrap in front of people. I feel weird, so I just talk. When I do actually work on something, everyone complains that it's too quiet. Ha! I love your layout!

You're too funny! Love the girls outfits, and I agree, it helps when their clothes aren't clashing! I'm a chatty girl, too, that's why I don't get much done at crops AT ALL! Oh well, it is a "social" event anyway, right? ;)
