Frown

As long as the frown is not related to fussiness, it's rather adroable.

So I must confess my love for Sassafrass papers! I have quite an impressive stash of them! Their recent collections have been so whimsically fun, really gorgeous stuff. As usual, it's difficult to bring myself to cut into them! My favorite line is their "Fawnd of you" featured in this layout. I also used a Scarlet Lime stamp.

Busy Scrapping...

One more week and we are done with June 2008! Not that I haven't been scrapping, but I can't post them just yet. I can't believe another month has come and gone, and I had so many plans to enter various contests and did nearly none of them!

I will be spending this weekend making a mini for Graphic45. I have done two layouts with a new line to be released at CHA next month. I must say that I rarely spend that much time agonizing over layouts! I have photographed them and decided that I'm proud of them. Once I get the mini done, they will be shipped off to Chicago for display at CHA Summer. I hope they will take pictures of the booth so I can at least see it virtually, and probably scrap about it. LOL!

Well, here is a layout based on a Becky Fleck sketch. The vibrant colors of this WRMK paper are just out of this world!

Two Cards from SO June Kit

This Father's Day card is made using the packaging sheet from the Prima Felt alphabets! Why waste perfectly good cardstock like this huh?

The card below and J.R.'s comments inspired a project for S.O.'s July newsletter!

That's about it for now, nothing too exciting to share. I am working on new Graphic 45 layouts. I hope I do them some justice and that they would be displayed with dignity and pride with all the other big girl layouts that will be at CHA!!

Another Rusty Pickle Challenge

This month, the challenge on the Rusty Pickle blog is to use any Easter paper from Rusty Pickle. I did this one for the challenge. I am nearly at the end of my stash of the Chocolate Bunny papers, what a fabulous collection that was!

Scrapbook Obsessions June 2008

The June newsletter has been posted and here are the layouts I have done for this month's kit. I finally got to use Tim Holtz grungeboards! Even though I've had the letters since forever ago, I had actually never broken them out of the packaging! I really like the "11 months" for documentation purposes, but I love the colors and vibrancy of the "Daddy's Girls." And of course, little by little, I shall have our REI Banff trip scrapped yet!

Here is the June sketch, and the first two layouts are based on this sketch. I will post the cards I made on another day.

Cours Mirabeau

Can you tell that this is an older layout? But the photos against the black cardstock just look fantastic! I was just getting started using chipboards back then, the "M" isn't even sanded, gaasp!!! LOL. It still is one of my favorite layouts, probably because I really miss Aix-en-Provence, a city I called "home" for four weeks, four short and blissful weeks...

She is definitely adored

And spoiled rotten!! Ugh, the tantrum she threw last night, it was just awful! My parents totally indulge her, UGH!

We've had nothing but rain for a week now and tornados etc, so I can't take pictures of the newer layouts. Here is one based on a Prima blog sketch and I did it for an SO challenge, but I have changed the layout since I posted it on the MB for SO.

Pencil Lines 86

I did this layout based on Pencil Lines sketch 86. I also used almost all MME products and entered it into a MME contest which I did not win, hee hee, but a girl's gotta try, right? I find the clean lines very me.

Mother's Day Pictures

All this mother wants for every Mother's Day is a day of peace and quiet time to scrap with LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of decent pictures of the girls together. So we did okay this past Mother's Day. I have many more pictures, but of course, when all three of us in them, it was too much to ask that we would all be smiling, oh well...

I've had my eyes on these Collage Press paper forever now, and I bought them in a pack when there was free shipping on Noel Mignon's site. Finally I get a chance to use them! I used my new Fiskars ribbon punch on this layout, it looks interesting, that is for sure. Good enough, moving on...
