Scrapping with Lots of Journaling

There are these layouts that tell a story or document a milestone. When I do one of these layouts, I feel unusually wonderful about it. I am still trying to take pictures like the pros you see in magazines, and I'm only talking about finding the interesting "angle that tell a story" through the view finder. The rest is "automatic" given my camera, not a lot I can do, and I don't plan to go SLR.

This is a second LO in a row that I really like. I have some leftover pictures from this "photoshoot" and they will be scrapped for the sake of scrapping :) Second child has way more LOs in that category whereas the First Born has a lot more stories/events documented. And I love both kinds of LOs.

Follow My Bliss

Sometimes a layout come together to my great satisfaction. I really like it. Isn't that the most important ingredient of all? Whenever I post my LO and I notice that they tend to be on the simple side of things. I love the layered and complex looking LOs but I don't do them myself. Sometimes I wonder if it is because I'm still trying to hold on to supplies! Let's not use FIVE sheets of PP on ONE layout please! No wonder I have so much stuff, and so many pieces of scraps. Why can't I let them go?!

I did this one last night with Scarlet Lime's November kit. I am finding myself stamping on LOs more now. It started because I'm collecting all these acrylic stamps from the SL kits so I feel like I must put them to use. Once I get over the mental hurdle of picturing myself getting ink out and cleaning up afterwards, I actually really enjoy it!

Believe it or not, my work has me researching BLOGs right now!!! Colette had mentioned that she bought the Blogs for Dummy book when she was doing research on this topic for her blog. I almost asked her to give me a list of top-five that book recommends! LOL!! It is just so strange that I'm officially researching various blogging tools for work!

All this to say, I'm slowly working on making this blog a little more robust. I find it difficult to add a huge list of the blogs I visit because I use an RSS feed tool, GoogleReader, so to duplicate effort to get all that info onto my own blog is too much work as far as I am concerned.

At least, so far, I finally linked in the three gals from SO under my Peeps! I really need a picture for the banner! Little by little, that's about all I can do.

Longing for summer...

It's been too cold for too long now...

Even though the trip we took to the Heartwood Resort was not particularly successful last summer, we still had a few fun moments. "Playing" mini-golf was one of those fun moments. We spent most of the time helping First Child fishing out the ball she intentionally hit into the water...

I used a stamp I got from Label Tulip when they had a stamp sale. I am so NOT a stamp person and yet, I loved this one the moment I saw it. I was very glad to be able to get it!

Scrapbook Obsessions February Kit

The part I like most about this LO is the bottom stamped images, all the way to connect to the actuate PP's flowers. I feel pretty clever about it. LOL!


I totally meant to do the title with a BIG LETTER O in the "who" :) but most people get what I'm saying there.

President's Weekend Challenge at SO

Well, I was body-deep in birthday celebration this past weekend, I had almost no time to scrap! I did work on and finished a LO with SO's March kit, that took a week to do! I finally was able to work on 1 of the 3 challenges Chantele posted, and here is the result:

I wish the cold will let up! I wish it is spring! I wish I can go outside to photograph my LOs, they look so dull and awful! Of course, my scanner is broken! I wish DH would fix it for me. I wish I can just go buy a new one... so many wishes, so little hope...

I made this with Scrapbook Obsessions October 2007 kit. My old laptop where these images are stored has been retired, so time to upload them before I give the laptop back to work.

This house is definitely one of my favorite projects I've made. Actually, with each project I've made for SO DT, it has pushed me further as a paper crafter. For that alone, I shall forever be beholden to J.R. and Chantele for the amazing opportunity.

I don't have a clever title

I've had this scallop notecard from Jenni Bowlin's premier kit for over two years now. Then I saw a LO by Candice Carpenter and I knew that it was meant to be. I do love my children's cheekies, so absolutely delicious, I would know! coz I've actually sunk my teeth into them. Of course they cry, but they do anyway, so might as well give them a reason to!



Talk about scrapping for the sake of using up some supplies and running up my tally for the month! On the other hand, is it so bad? At least I scrapped yet another photo. And no, I don't feel bad about scrapping 1 photo LOs any more.



Lots of stuff from Paper Posies' premier kit, once again, well over 2.5 years old stuff, but still fantastic stuff. The fabric self-adhesive flowers were not something I could use because I know how expensive they are and i couldn't use things like that. For that matter, there was once upon a time where I couldn't bring myself to buy things that are expensive like these flowers, all of them for $5 or 4? So I started subbing to kits so I'm not taking individual items off the shelf. That was a long time ago, now I buy at will, oy vey!

How old is this stuff?!

2005! That's how old!! Actually, these Foofala paper is probably what you would call "vintage" looking today so even though they came out in 2005, I see sheets of these paper appearing in kits today, a sheet here and there. Certainly, the vintage altering types of gals still would eat this up!
As I continue to clean, I come upon things that I must just use on the spot instead of cleaning and organizing. It's been around for TOO long and yet it is still absolutely stellar supplies, can't throw it away, might as well use it before I put the "scraps" (ahem, 4 full sheets of this line yet) away.
